Our Story
Steinbacher Enterprises, Inc. is a 3rd generation family owned business. We pride ourselves in the quality and character of our work. We are proud of where we came from, and what we have become today.
In July, 2016 Matthew and Joslyn Dougherty became the new owners of Historic House Salvage after they bought the company from David Steinbacher.
Joslyn is the daughter of David and has been in the business since 2002. She started out working in the field and worked her way up to managing the office. Prior to starting with the business, Joslyn attended Pennsylvania College of Technology where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Management. She now oversees the office, the salvage store, and is learning to estimate jobs.
Matthew is David’s son-in-law. He joined the business in 2004 and has worked his way up over the years. Before coming to Historic House Salvage he worked with a couple other companies related to the construction field. Matthew brought his expertise of running equipment and “dirt work” to the business, and has since learned to read blueprints, estimate jobs and run the work sites. He is very hardworking and cares about the future success of the business.
David Steinbacher started working in the business with his father in 1971, after graduating high school. In 1986 he became part owner of the business with his brother, and in October, 2002 became sole owner of the corporation. David has had many years of training in the business and has brought this business to what it is today. He prides himself on the quality and character of his work.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
